Introduction
Clean Electric ("Clean Electric", "we", "us", or "our") values your trust and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy & Security Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("CE CARE" or "App").
By using the CE CARE App, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the App. This Policy applies to all services provided through the CE CARE App.
We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. Updates will be indicated by revising the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information Provided by You
When you register or use CE CARE, you may provide:- Personal Information: Name, City, State, Phone Number (for verification), and optional Email ID.
- Vehicle & Battery Information: Battery Serial Number, VIN, Vehicle Number, and associated details as in any uploaded Invoice/Receipt Image.
- Support Requests: Information voluntarily shared during customer support or SOS interactions (call/email).
B. Information Collected Automatically
CE CARE itself does not directly collect raw battery data from your device. The battery data — such as State of Charge (SoC), Voltage, Battery Temperature, Cycle Count, and Battery State (Charging / Discharging / Idle) — is transmitted securely from the battery’s telematics system to Clean Electric’s secure servers.
The CE CARE App then retrieves and displays this information for your registered battery through a secure, authenticated request.
Additionally CE CARE may also collect limited app performance data, such as:
- App Usage Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and error logs (for troubleshooting).
- Alert & Notification Data: Delivery and response logs for push notifications and in-app alerts.
C. Camera & Gallery Permissions
CE CARE may request permission to access your camera or photo gallery only when you need to upload a photo for verification or support purposes.
- We do not access or collect any other media files.
- All uploaded images are encrypted, securely stored, and used only for the stated verification purpose.
- You can revoke camera/gallery access anytime from your device settings, though doing so may limit certain verification functions.
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that only the correct and relevant image is uploaded for verification. If a user mistakenly uploads an incorrect image, all uploaded images are kept confidential, securely stored, and never shared externally. Incorrect uploads are not used for any other purpose and remain protected under the same privacy safeguards.
D. Location Information
CE CARE does not collect, track, or use any location information from your device. No GPS or regional location access is required for any feature in this app.
E. Battery Telemetry Parameters Collected
CE CARE receives battery diagnostic data from the Battery Management System (BMS) of Clean Electric batteries.
The app does not collect this data from the user's device; the battery telematics sends this data securely to our servers, which CE CARE then displays to the user. The telemetry parameters listed below represent the superset across all Clean Electric battery models.
